Welcome to the January 2013 edition of the highend-electronics Newsletter!
From January 8th-11th 2013 we will be exhibiting at the CES and the T.H.E. SHOW in Las Vegas in several locations.
At the CES you will find us with KR Audio and Performance Audio in the Venetian Hotel Room 30-112 debuting the brand new 160 watt KR Audio VA910 mono-blocks and showcasing the integrated KR Audio VA880 in a second system - both systems with King Sound electrostatic speakers. Dr. Eunice Kron will be on site.
At T.H.E. Show in the Flamingo Hotel in room 4031 we will debut the new to the US integrated amp KR Audio VA900 driving the brand new ViV Lab Evanui Signature III speakers and for the fist time strictly analog with Aurora's VIDA phonostage and ViV Lab's Rigid Float tone arm.
In room 4032 in the Flamingo we will debut Voxativ's flagship loudspeakers - the Ampeggio Due driven by KR Audio and VALVET amps. Ines Adler, CEO and designer of Voxativ will be on site.
In room 4009 in the Flamingo we showcase the 140 watt KR Audio Kronzilla DXL mono-blocks with the King Sound Prince II electrostatic loudspeakers and Clarity Cables.

Voxativ Ampeggio Due
US debut: Las Vegas T.H.E. Show Flamingo hotel room 4032
The Voxativ Ampeggio Due was especially created for Voxativ’s AC-Xp field coil driver. This single-driver horn convinces with its shallow depth of only 19cm. The horn openings face down. The bass response of this speaker system extends down to 25Hz.
Despite its phenomenal bass response, the highs remain silky-smooth, very transparent, open and full of previously unheard details.
The overall sound impresses with explosive dynamics and a phenomenal stage. One watt amplifier power is enough for full musical delight. All Voxativ products are crafted by hand in Germany.

ViV Lab Evanui Signature III
ViV Lab's original, revolutionary FDM driver floats mechanically (Floating Diaphragm Mechanism) reproduces sound with very low distortion and covers such a wide frequency range that it needs neither extra woofer nor extra tweeter. This eliminates the need for crossovers, avoiding both electrical and mechanical distortion.The wood cabinet, made of stratified apitong plywood, works as a short, straight backloaded horn. 63 apitong boards of 18mm are stacked up in layers and the core is carved out. Its surfaces are hand-planed and filed down to a beautiful striped stratified pattern by artisans, piece by piece. The enclosure is rounded with no corners at all, producing an excellent acoustic field.

KR Audio VA900 & VA910
Right on time before the most important high-end show of the year, KR Audio released new mono-blocks - the VA910. The unique feature of these push-pull VA910 mono-blocks is that they provide 160 Watts output power each mono-block by using only two pairs of the KT 120 Tung-Sol tubes in the output stage and MOSFET transistors in the driver stage, with JFET in the input stage. This hybrid configuration design brings the best SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) and audio performance.The VA910 monoblocks are perfect for speakers that need high power, such as electrostatic speakers, and give the listener the warm sound of tube performance without losing details from the recording.
Its little brother, the KR Audio VA900, is an integrated with 4 inputs which uses a pair KT 120 Tung-Sol
and delivers 80 watt per channel in push-pull mode.

Audio Magic SUPER fuse
Jerry Ramsey of Audio Magic has been working on the development of a new fuse for a while that should outperform Audio Magic's Nano-Liquid fuses.
After two months of trying and testing the SUPER fuse in several different devices and setups we feel it's safe to say he did it again. Congratulations to Jerry, big improvement!
The SUPER fuse incorporates a liquid compound with BlackOut and Nano Stream Treatment and now comes with the new proprietary "Particle Cover Stock". The price is $105 each (20mm and 32mm). These fuses are only made-to-order. Check it out
WA-Quantum Power & Semiconductor Chips
WA-Quantum from Berlin, Germany rapidly finds its way into the stereo systems of many audiophiles all over the globe.After releasing a series of powerful tuning chips two new kinds are available now. One is the "Power Chip" which can be used on all power applications like power conditioners, power strips... Tip: try it on your circuit breaker!

Synergistic Research Three Awards on The Absolute Sound
Synergistic's PowerCell 10SE MkIII
The 2012 The Absolute Sound Products of the Year Awards have just been announced and Synergistic Research received three of them.
"Power Conditioner of the Year" for the PowerCell 10SE MkIII. The Element Tungsten Speaker Cable is the "Upper-End Loudspeaker Cable of the Year" and the Element Tungsten Interconnect won the "Mid-Priced Interconnect of the Year" award.
We constantly use all of those, as well as other products from Synergistic Research and highly recommend them to our customers.
