  • Welcome to the November 2012 edition of the highend-electronics Newsletter!

We had a very good show at this year's Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver, Colorado. The attendance was good and there were more than 300 brands from 30 countries proudly showing off their goods.

Feedback was good and we won the "BEST SOUND OF THE SHOW AWARD" by AV Showrooms Check it out.

Peter Breuniger, AV Showrooms: "...The sound [at this year's RMAF] was superb but three rooms stood out...the MBL suite, the Wilson/VTL suite and the highend-electronics suite featuring the Voxativ loudspeaker"

"...the most involving and intimate sound was to be had from the Voxativ loudspeaker being driven by KR amplifiers"

Jason Victor Serinus, Stereophile: "...extremely impressive, solid, warm and inviting sound. 'A cut above the rest' I wrote in my notes..."

The next event is the CES in January 2013 in Las Vegas - we have something new and very exciting for this show. Stay tuned for our next newsletter.

    A great match - Voxativ & KR-Audio

    New Products:

    ViV Labs Rigid Float tonearm

We are very proud to announce that we are now US importer and distributor for ViV laboratory Ltd. from Japan. Designer Koichiro Akimoto builds extraordinary speakers, amps and accessories and brings new ideas and a fresh breeze into the audio industry.

His latest product - the Rigid Float tonearm is nothing short of an audiophile sensation! What distinguishes the RF tonearm is a straight arm without offset-angle. You can just put the tonearm somewhere on or next to the plinth - no mounting neccessary. But most important - ViV Lab's original oil floated pivot (with magneto-fluid = magnetically induced oil) not only gives perfect bearing performance but also isolates the arm from the vibration via floor or turntable. State of the art semiconductor technology (LCR-type network) and innovation, combined with old-world craftmanship make this phono amplifier outstanding in many respects. Check it out

    HighEnd Novum PMR Initium

The new PMR Initium is an outstanding and reasonably priced product - your access to the world of the PMR room acoustic devices.

The Initium is about half the size (7 inch in diameter) of its big brother - the PMR Premium and is also cast by hand in Germany from bell bronze.

Putting an Initium in a listening room, you will notice a strong resonance with lots of details and spatial acoustics. The music appears to be more dynamic and full of energy. When it comes to individual instruments, they sound very realistic and seem to have a whole new presence.

The PMR Initium can be used stand-alone, in pairs or in combination with a PMR Premium. Retail price is $1350.

    VALVET E1r mono-blocks

Clive Meakins of Enjoy the Music.com, Nov. 2012, wrote: "...what was striking to me was the superb mix of resolution, imaging and body... upper frequency details were clear and quite brilliant. Bass drive and power were excellent. Instruments were contained in their own space, the whole became greater than the sum of the parts, and it just worked so well musically..."

"...with the Valvet E1r amplifiers driving my system I have zero desire to swap them out to try anything else, when a hi-fi component sounds this right you have stop analyzing it and just enjoy the music!"

Neil Gader of The Absolute Sound, Oct. 2012, wrote:

"...Tungsten bested Apex in nearly every respect and it's roughly half the price..."

"...astounding collection of inner contrasts that come to light in a recording... Chameleon-like, Element takes its cues from the recording itself..."

"...as for the Element CTS I haven’t heard a better wire..."
